Hi, I'm Heather!

Welcome to my natural beauty corner of the internet. I'm excited you are here!

My Desert Island Picks for a Simple Summer Beauty Routine

Because even if I’m stranded, I’m still doing my daily makeup ritual.

Let’s set the scene:
I’ve been whisked away to a peaceful little island. There’s no Wi-Fi, no mirrors, no to-do lists… just me, the ocean breeze, and maybe a parrot or two that I have befriended (you guys know my love for animals!)

But let’s me be really honest here — even on a deserted island, I’m bringing a few beauty rituals with me. Not because the sea turtles care, but because these are the feel-good, grounding things that help me feel like me and ready for the day.

And if you know me, you know I still love to get a little gussied up, even if I’m not going anywhere. I’m just not a sweats-and-athleisure girl — it’s not my thing! But hey, if a cozy set and a top knot make you feel glowy? I fully support that. It’s all about what lights you up.

So here they are—my desert island beauty must-haves (and no, none of them include a 10-step contour routine).

🌿 Tinted SPF — for protection and a little polish

If I could only bring one product, it’s going to be a tinted SPF. Period.
It evens out your skin just enough, protects from the sun (because yes, even imaginary islands have UV rays), and gives you that soft, real-skin glow.

I love one that feels like skincare — hydrating, light, and doesn’t settle into anything. It just makes me look like I’ve been sipping something tropical and reading a good book under a palm tree.

And honestly? That’s the energy I want whether I’m on an island or running errands (definitely my go to for a quick polish).

💋 A Tinted Balm or My Trusty Lip Crayon

I always keep a tinted balm or my trusty lip crayon close by. It hydrates, adds the perfect amount of color, and yep — in a pinch, I’ll dab a little on my cheeks too.
(You know I’m a cream blush girl at heart, but when it’s mid-day and you need a pick-me-up — or, you know, stranded on a beach — you improvise.)

It’s easy, it makes me feel a little more alive, and it’s the kind of product that lives in every bag I own.

🫧 My Simple Skincare Trio

I’m not taking my entire skincare shelf, but I am bringing the basics that keep me feeling refreshed and human:

  • A gentle cleanser (just enough to reset the day)
  • A mist that smells like peace — think cucumber mint!
  • A moisturizer or facial oil that gives me that fresh, glowy finish

That little morning moment? Still happening. Even if I’m just saying good morning to a palm tree.

🌿 My 5-Minute Morning Moment

Even if I were totally alone on that island, I know I’d still take a few quiet minutes in the morning to check in with myself. A little mist, a dab of tinted balm, maybe a stretch or a deep breath.

It’s not about doing all the things — it’s just about starting the day with a small act of care. Something that says, “Hey, I’m still here. And I deserve to feel good.”

Because beauty isn’t about performing.
It’s about reconnecting.

🌴 What Would You Bring?

I’d love to know—what’s that one product or little ritual you’d take with you? The thing that makes you feel just a little more like you, no matter where you are?

Because at the end of the day, beauty isn’t about having a full face or following every trend. It’s about those small, simple things that help you feel refreshed, confident, and like yourself again. Whether you’re getting ready for your day… or brushing your hair in front of a palm tree.
