(My Honest Crunchi Review – From a Makeup Artist Who Dislikes Some MLMs)
Let’s just address the big fat elephant in the room: I dislike creepy MLMs.
I’m not a pushy, weird, “Hey girl, join my team, buy my product” kind of person – never have been, never will be. I’ve always believed makeup recommendations should come from truth, not from how many “points” you need to hit this month. Annnd true research on multiple faces!!!
So here’s the awkward part…
The best foundation and tinted SPF I have ever used – on myself, on my clients, in my pro kit – is from an MLM.
Yep. Cue the dramatic music. Dun, dun, duuuunnn……..
I have tried to leave this relationship more times than I can count.
I have spent a small fortune on clean beauty foundations (not to mention skincare too), concealers, and base products trying to find something – anything – that could take Crunchi’s place (I have had other’s say the same).
And I’m not talking about one or two tries.
I’m talking:
You name it, I’ve swiped it on my face.
The result?
Most of them ended up cakey by noon, patchy on dry spots, enhanced texture to make me look worse than when I started, oily around my T-zone, or just…meh. My reject pile could open its own Sephora clearance section.
I’ve tested this foundation and tinted SPF on everyone: textured skin (hello, me!), mature skin, young skin, and every in-between. The paying clients who come back for appointments are constantly sliding into my inbox asking, “What did you use on me?!”
It’s that freakin’ good.
Here’s what it nails – qualities the 25+ (I’ve lost count honestly) foundation and concealer brands I’ve tested just don’t have:
And it’s not just the foundation — I’ve fallen for other Crunchi products too. This brand has it going on. Point blank.
Here’s the difference: I’m actually working with multiple clients a day, applying makeup to real faces in real lighting and real life. I know what works and what doesn’t.
Influencers? Most of them aren’t doing that. They’re filming themselves in perfect lighting, “loving” a new foundation every week, and moving on before it even runs out. Kinda weird when you think about it, huh?
I’m picky. Like, really picky.
My own skin is textured and aging, so if it works for me, odds are it’ll be perfect for you.
I need a base that can survive:
And this one delivers. Every. Single. Time.
See? I’m not here to sell you a fantasy. Crunchi has its downsides:
At the end of the day, you can trust a makeup artist who works with real faces every day adn focuses on technique and the products are the cherry on top if you love them…or you can go back to Instagram and YouTube and keep trying product after product, hoping one finally works.
You can always come in for a Mini Product Try-On with me, and if you don’t love it you can say, “NOPE.” I will not be chasing you down – promise. But it helps so much!
Great for you if:
Probably not for you if:
After years of “seeing other people,” I’ve accepted it – this is my holy grail foundation and tinted spf. I’m not going to pretend I’ll find something better because… I’ve tried.
And here’s my promise:
If you come to me for a shade match and it’s not right for you, I’ll tell you. I’ll even recommend something else if I think it’ll work better (which is unfortunate but happens).
Because at the end of the day, your face deserves better than just whatever someone’s selling.
Want to know if it’s your perfect match?
Shoot me a message – no pressure, no MLM weirdness, just the truth about what will actually look good on you. I promise, I wont be chasing you down.
